Two things I enjoyed during High School I have been fortunate to be able to continue after graduation. #1 The basic welding skills I learned in Eugene Wilcox's' shop class guided me to a successful career in the Skilled Trades. Shortly after graduating High School, I was employed by NSK Bearing Co. located in Ann Arbor. NSK paid all my expenses to attend Washtenaw Community College for the next two years, to study Welding Technology.  The next 40 years I worked for NSK as team leader over the various welding techniques, tool welding and fabrication. I never thought about politics much until I became a member of the Skilled Trades. Then, for a period of 29 years, I was elected to various positions with the U.A.W. Union. The last 10 of those years I was the Skilled Trades representative while also being elected President of the local union. My wife, Sandy, and I, both retired from NSK in 2004.  #2  Sports has always been a very big part of my life. Now retired, I work at a Golf course a few hours a week, this allows me to play Golf as often as I am able to. As a member of the Golf Clubmakers Association, I have been building and repairing Golf clubs for the past 15 years. Lately I have reduced my time working on clubs so that my wife and I can spend more time playing Golf together. I am a member of the American Masters Bowling Association. I have had some fairly good success Bowling in their tournaments that are held through out Southeastern Michigan. I have two Daughters, a Son and a Step Son; all have their own families. My wife and I have lived outside Ann Arbor for the past 24 years. Some of our retirement time is spent, traveling in our RV, Boating at our lake lot and keeping up with our 3 Grandchildren. We try to spend some of the winter months in warmer climate. The past two years we have enjoyed our winters near Orlando, Florida. Enjoying life and having Fun Even God cannot change the past.
